The Concourse Hotel and Conference Center on the property of the Port Columbus International Airport installed a one flat panel display system that has become guest communication central for the hotel.
On one panel, the hotel communicates departing flight information, promotion on its in-hotel restaurant, news, weather and a video clip of a near-by attraction. It also uses the display to present the in-hotel meeting and event schedule.
“The feedback we've gotten from our guests has been so positive. The flight data has probably been the biggest benefit. Now guests can check their flight right in our lobby, and thus spend more time with us. Instead of grabbing a bite at the airport, they may stay here”, said Kim Black, general manager Concourse Hotel.
Signature Technologies conducted a survey of Concourse guests over a four week period and exposed some great news for the hotel. First, of the more than 100 people surveyed, 100% noticed the displays immediately or almost immediately . This means that there is a central focus point for guests that enter the property where the hotel can display helpful and important information. Also of the survey respondents, 90% said the display system had information that was beneficial to them . This information was broken down by the following:
44% checked their flight status.
33% decided upon the hotel restaurant.
25% used a promoted amenity
14% joined the hotel's reward program
19% used the system to locate their business meeting
The Concourse Hotel also uses SIGNATURE CONTENT SERVICES to source their digital imagery for the display system. “We provide high quality and very effective digital content for our customers that is much lower cost than a content production agency and much easier to implement,” said Kelly Kavanaugh , vice president of sales and marketing for Signature Technologies. “Each piece of promotional content comes with a creative consultation with our team of digital media designers so that we hit the mark every time for our customers.”
